If you'd like to know more about what doulas do and what kind of doula might be right for you, just give me a call or drop me a line. Whether you would like support during pregnancy, birth and the post-natal period, adoption or surrogacy, or even practical and emotional support if you have sadly lost a baby or child, doulas work with all kinds of families.
I do not have a 'type' of client I work with or a 'type' of birth I attend - from the crunchy mums, to the conventional, the hands on dad's to the concerned and skeptical, homebirth or hospital, from water and hypnobirthing to planned caesarean births, the important thing is that I understand your choices and support you to have the best experience possible.
Like most doulas, I believe there is a doula for every family, and choosing the person you feel is best suited to you is important, so I understand you will probably want to speak to several doulas and find the best fit for you and I do not try to hard sell myself or my services.
I am happy to chat on the phone initially and discuss what you are looking for, and I provde a free first consultation if you would like to meet up after this and talk in more detail.
I am based in Newport, Gwent, and I work within an hours radius of here, so am happy to travel to Cardiff, Bristol, Bath, Swansea and their localities, however initial consultations are usually in Newport or Cardiff.
Should you choose to book me as your doula, I will usually come to see you where you feel most comfortable - for most people at home. Sometime people need a little extra moral support attending appointments as well, so I'm happy to come along with you if this is something you would like to use your doula-time for.
I work in and around Newport, Cardiff and Bristol, so give me a call for a no-pressure, non-judgemental chat. I look forward to hearing where you are in your journey and finding out if I'm the right doula for you. Ella.x
